In 2018, Dr. Štěpán Machač, PhD. joined FutureLife as the Chief Medical Officer. Previously, he held significant roles focusing on reproductive medicine. Graduating from Palacký University of Medicine in Olomouc, he also holds a PhD focusing on Inherited Thrombophilia related to severe OHSS. His career started at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic at Palacký University Olomouc from 1995 to 2003, where he began focusing on infertility treatment. Prior to his role at FutureLife, between 2006 and 2014, Dr. Machač was the lead IVF doctor for international patients at Reprofit International Clinic. Since 2014, he has overseen the IVF Clinic in Olomouc. Additionally, since 2020, Dr. Machač has been the Chairman of Section of Assisted Reproduction at the Czech Medical Society. He is also an author, writing ad co-writing over 30 lectures and 40 professional articles on assisted reproduction, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome, and gamma donation.

ReproMed Fortnightly Journal clubs

ReproMed Fortnightly Journal clubs are an opportunity to regularly meet with the FutureLife lab teams. The purpose of this study group is to share knowledge and to hear about innovation in our field, collaborate with other labs across the group and learn from combined experiences. We also promote regular opportunities to meet with our scientific senior team. We have used this platform to bring together laboratory staff from the FutureLife group to get to know each other, generate communication, trust and ultimately learn from each other to improve our results for our patients. We also quarterly host the KPIs for the lab teams to see how we are all performing together as a group. We have had guest speakers such as Prof Simon Fishel, Kenneth Smalls, Dagan Wells and Giovanni Coticchio! We have also heard from our own lab teams to discuss IdaScore, MACs, AoA, Mosiacs and PIMSI.
